Pride history

The Pamoja pride was founded by Mzuri a white maned lion, he was a fan of exploring and loved to meet new lions but his mate was expecting cubs and needed a home, they made a den in a hollow tree, this would go on to be the tree all future royal cubs would be born in. The two planned to move on once the cubs were born but plans changed.

 

The pair was found by other lions looking for a home, they asked to live with them and soon they became Mzuris pride,a small pride surviving on what they could at first the area was great for them but soon the hot season came, the lions found the heat from the ground to much, they would try as hard as they could to stay in shade, that was before meeting Chui , Chui was a pale colored leopard, they found her one day in the branches of the hollow tree, the leopard was confused to why the lions didn’t just climb a tree to escape the heat, Mzuri not wanting to risk his pride was the first to try, so was born the Pamoja prides love of climbing trees.

 

Chui ended up staying with the lions, they needed to learn how to climb and she felt the right one to do so, along with it meaning getting fed by the lions, Chui would go on to teach all cubs born in the pride how to climb.After Mzuri realized that they were going to no longer just be a pride of a few lions, he choose to change the pride name from Mzuris pride to the Pamoja pride, he chose this name as he would allow anyone who needed a home to join and to teach them the ways of the Pride.

 

It was Mzuris son Imba who suggested young adults be allowed to leave the pride, Imba wanted to leave and explore, Mzuri saw reason in this and allowed his son to leave, other young lions expressed interest in this and so Mzuri set a new rule , all young adults could choose to leave the pride to wonder and would be welcomed back should they choose to return. Chui asked to be allowed to leave for a short time as well, she was only gone about a month before returning, with her came another leopard,a cubhood friend of Chui’s and Mzuri welcomed him.

 

Many years later after the death of Mzuri ,Imba was king, the pride had grown, Chui had cubs all but one left, it wanted to teach just like her mother. Imba was finding leading a pride alone hard, his mate suggested he have help she took on  talking to Chui and the prides healer about issues and progress, Imba found he had more time for other things with this, Imba would go on to assign the majordomo to be in charge of the lead hunter and lead trainer making sure the prides ranks got trained correctly, the finally members of his new royal court a prides majuzi.

 

The pride continued like this more many generations , while it had the normal pride issues the murder of the prides king shook many Pamoja pride members, none more then the current king Baadal,another rank was added to the kings court , the royal gaurd .
