Color

In pamoja you have two types of lions , Pamoja born and lions who join from other prides, Lions from outside Pamoja can have any color and pattern ,while Pamoja born lions are mostly different shades of brown or have brown on them. Depending on the parents , other colors are not unheard of  just not as common.

 

Pamoja males will often have a pale mane or a brown colored mane, White manes are known to happen to lions in the royal bloodline

 

Markings

While this was covered in about i will cover it here, Pamoja born lions often have hoods of some kind, these can just be the ears or a full on hood, some are just on the head others can have a back stripe and other markings

 

Pamoja members often have spot on them, common spots for the spots are the backs of the ears, under the eyes, the nose bridge and near the undercoat , spots on the main body of the lion are not unheard of but less common

 

Since Pamoja allows all lions to join , members can have any other marking they are just not as common as the listed above and often disappear in a couple of generations

 

Genetic oddities

The Pamoja pride has an odd mutation that shows up from time to time, this is mainless males, Pamoja Males that are maneless are also infertile, the gene does not affect females, Other then that Mainless males are treated no differently to the others, some choose to take over roles when it is hottest allowing other maned lions not to get to hot
